Plant-dyed Wool

This yarn is spun from a blend of Greek sheep wool: 50% Karamaniko wool, a rare local breed from Gotista, and 50% wool from the Arta region.

It will also appear at selected markets and shops in the Netherlands, but if you are interested, just get in touch. We’re happy to arrange direct orders for both the Netherlands and Greece.

Wool with a story

Yarn spun from Greek sheep wool that otherwise would be overlooked or discarded. We see it as a warm, breathable fibre worth saving.

Working with this wool is part of our circular approach. It honors the animal, the shepherd, and the labour already held within the fibre, while returning value to local land-based livelihoods.

Our wool follows the same plant-dyed palette as our textiles, shaped by season and by what is available. It is usually offered in 100g skeins and handled by enquiry according to current availability.

Well suited to knitting, weaving, and crocheting, it can be used for pieces such as blankets, baskets, cushion covers, placemats, wall hangings, tapestry, oven mitts, and other useful textiles for daily life.
